In it she links up to Cake Wrecks which is all about cakes that are wrecks. Hilarious.
They also show amazing cakes under the tag Sunday Sweets.
Here are some of my favourites.
My number one favourite is definitely this Asparagus Cake by Rosie at Sweetapolita.

It's so worth checking out the rest of the photos at the links. While you are there check out the other cakes, especially the rainbow one.

I want the Chanel cake, the mister can have the massive Sandwich cake and munchkin can have the Rocking Spongebob cake.

I know the mister would love the Aston Martin DBS cake while I want the Girl Drummer Topsy cake and I know munchkin would love the Thomas The Tank Engine cake.
I'm lusting after so many of their cakes and I'm so glad they are representing Australia!
Here and here |
I do LOVE their other cakes though. I want the Princess Pillow cake, the mister can have the Taco cake and munchkin can have the Peter Rabbit cake.

How is that Dr Seuss cake by Kate of And Everything Sweet even possible? That whole party looks amazing.
I want the Miniature Party Girl cakes, the mister can have the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cake while munchkin can have the Toy Story Bed cake.
My mind is going into overload over all these amazing cakes. Seriously check out the Cake Wrecks Sunday Sweets and be amazed.

Great post! Love the asparagus cake {you should add the cut shot... very cool} and my fav is the Dr Seuss one!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, surviving the rapture is todays greatest achievement. ;) Or was that yesterday? Hmmmm. Who freakin' knows...
Ooooh, awesome!!! Loved the asparagus cake, so clever!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait until the boys' birthday cakes are made!!!!! Pressure is on hubby!
Oh wow. These are just amazing. I can't believe that first cake is not asparagus. Just... incredible. How could someone eat that?
ReplyDeleteI still can't believe it's not asparagus either. That is dedication!
ReplyDeleteI definitely wouldn't want to be the first person to cut into the cake, I'd feel so bad. It's artwork.
I wish I could make just one layer cake with fondant. I'd be happy if that turned out well!
oh my goodness these cakes are amazing - definitely too good to eat though! found you through FYBF!
ReplyDeleteWow, they are definitely pieces of art, not mere cakes. Love all the colours.
ReplyDeleteI must admit I find icing cakes a drag - by the time they're ready for it I've done all the baking and cleaning up and am jack of being in the kitchen. Maybe if I could make them look this good, though, I might try harder...
Wow. I definitely wouldn't be able to eat those cakes - they're too beautiful! Actually, who am I kidding?? Of course I'd eat them. I'd eat any cake. xxx
ReplyDeleteWow those cakes are amazing
ReplyDeleteI've been addicted to Cake Wrecks since it started :) But one thing I've never understood was how she got a book deal - half of the images are already on the site. OH well, good on her :)
