Plan Fail Plan

I had plans today.

Not life changing plans but plans nonetheless.

They were;
  • Clean the kitchen
  • Clean the bathroom
  • Change lufflump's sheets
  • Fold four loads of washing
  • Wash two loads of washing
  • Hang out three loads of washing
  • Buy blank DVDs/CDs
  • Go to Woolies and buy formula, plums, soda water
  • Do my Simplify Your Life goals post
  • Reply to emails
  • Work on Digital Parents
  • Reply to comments
  • Begin a sesame update post
I did;
  • Clean the kitchen
  • Wash one load of washing
  • Hang out two loads of washing
  • Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion Part Two
  • Chat to my best friend for almost an hour
  • Buy blank DVDs/CDs, clothes and shoes for lufflump
  • Use up the remaining tissues we have at home
  • Nap
  • Pushed lufflump back and forth in the stroller for 45mins
  • Break down crying after lufflump threw a toy and gave me a black eye
What I didn't do is being pushed to tomorrow when lufflump is at daycare. I don't think I'll feel like it, especially if my eyes don't stop burning and my nose doesn't stop running but I have to.
Do you ever have days where your plans just get thrown out the window?

  1. It happens far too often these days! the sneaky hour long phone calls are one of my worst down falls, plus I have no concept of how long something will actually take to finish.
I hope tomorrow is more productive and your eye heals quickly xx

    1. Damn time hey! I have the problem of getting bored half way through. One reason why I don't cook or bake.
Friday was even less productive but a lovely rest day :)

  2. Nearly everyday my plans are thrown out the window. Most nights I lay awake thinking of all the chores I WILL tackle the following day. Some get done but not all. Having kids is an ongoing slowwww process. I say take every day as it comes and if you dont complete all you want dont sweat it. Try again tomorrow!!

    1. I do that too! The mental to-do list. I have such motivation making it but when it comes around to actually doing it the motivation is definitely lacking.
I love your thinking. So not worth sweating over it all :)

  3. Ha - almost everyday! In my head i go "I really need to do this, this, and that today " and one of those might get done somewhere amongst the web-surfing, tv watching, and running around town! Plus, your like a bazillion weeks pregnant so give yourself a break and take a nap if you want to.... :)

  4. Congratulations on getting as much done as you did! Most of my days I don't get anywhere near enough done and my list of tasks outstanding for months is embarrassingly long. I use the little ones as an excuse but it's probably also my poor time management!

    1. Thank you Veronica!
It's too easy to use the kids as an excuse isn't it? I do it all the time too. Never mind that when he's preoccupied I'd much rather procrastinate than cross items off a list!
