This week was a good fitness week for me. I even strapped on my unfortunately uncomfy Nike's (shocks are not for me) to tackle some heavier exercise.
A reminder of last week's goals;
- Ten push ups this week I did twenty and it's getting easier!
- Limit coffee to one cup daily Easy done
I could have done so much better this week but going to my mum's and celebrating Easter threw me off. I did make sure I did exercises at mum's but I also had one day off as I was exhausted from chasing and carrying lufflump around Dreamworld on the Thursday night.
I did have a temperature and swollen glands from early Friday morning to Sunday morning. I've also had headaches all week too which I've put down to lack of water, sugar and caffeine. I know I have to drink more water, I've always been slack with that and it's not good.
I found a Roller Derby Workout Challenge group on Facebook and another RDWC support group with the challenge starting today. The challenge works with the Roller Derby Workout DVD. I'd love to start the eight week challenge today but the workouts for week one scare the shit out of me. I still haven't had the go ahead from the doctor, although I can't feel any gap in my stomach, I don't want to push myself too much. I'm fine with 10sec planks but not 60sec planks, 10 knee push ups but not 20 and definitely not repeated five times! I think I'll give it a miss but follow what everyone is doing, their progress. Maybe in a couple of weeks I'll join in late. I'm not going to pressure myself, it's all going to be at my pace otherwise I risk failure.
I also joined a support fitness website, SparkPeople. I have no idea how to use it but I have signed up to a few groups including Roller Derby Workout Challenge, C25K, Wii Fit Plus and Sparkies Down Under. It seems to be a wonderful support system if used properly, if I can work out just how to use it properly.
The beauty of this week was the Easter Bunny's present to me; a pink, glitter skipping rope. I'm so excited to get my skipping skills up. I used to love skipping when I was a kid. Maybe I'll get a hula hoop soon too!
This weeks' goals;
- Use Wii Fit at least five days
- Fifty knee push ups in total
- Skating for an hour Tuesday night
- Skip for at least five minutes three days
- No caffeine
- Six glasses of water every day
- Be aware of and limit amount of sugar consumed
- One shake with egg and banana at least four days

I love this post. It's great to set goals and see how you have done. Considering your week, I think you have done and excellent job. Rachel x
ReplyDeleteThank you! It's all a work in progress, getting used to a new routine and wanting to exercise!
DeleteAwesome post...
ReplyDeleteI have felt so crappy this past week with all the sugar.. I love that your goals are totally reachable..
Good luck!
It's amazing how sugar really makes you feel horrible. Horrid stuff really!
DeleteGoals are a great way of achieving one's goals. Makes you even more determined. Especially if u have some other stimulation. For example, if you're planning a vacation at the seaside, you know you have to look in a bathing suit, which will make you work out even harder!
ReplyDeleteThank you, I agree!
